Help with blocking proxies

Post by bclark1000 »

I've read everthing I can find and still can't make it work.

For Atlanta, I have tried:

route add 216.234.78.8 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.50

or

route add 216.234.78.8 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.50 metric 1

at the DOS prompt.

When I start up magic jack, I get a dial tone, I dial the number, and get another dial tone.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Sometimes it takes a couple of restarts for it to go through. Also are you running xp or vista it can make a difference. On xp I've seen you can route to a non-existant ip address on your lan. On vista it seems like it needs to be an active ip address. I run on xp and have tried both with success. Try going to the wiki also for a more detailed explanation.
