Office voice mail and office conference calls

Hopefully I can explain this correctly - when I call into my office voicemail system and or call into office conference calls I can dial in using a normal phone # but when I have to enter my PIN on my voice mail (4 digits) or PIN to enter conference calls (6 digits) I can't get past the initial call. Hopefully that makes sense to someone

If I use the softphone feature and the on screen # pad it works great and I can still use my phone but off the phone it doesn't work.

I remember I had this issue with Skype as well and that they had a special dial pad you could use. It had something to do with the tones not being generated correctly to get into systems like I mentioned above.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any work arounds?

use your keypad on the pc keyboard. I use that to punch in numbers and the software for clicking on symbols like * and #. Works well.
