ooma, linux and Magic jack differences
I have been reading about the minimum requirements my pc should have in order to run MJ smoothly. But I was reading about the OOMA phone system and it is based on a linux computer. I figure it's probably a low end processor with little memory. How is it that OOma can run ok but we have problems with MJ if we aren't very careful running programs at the same time as a call? what would be the difference?
Just give me a new gadget everyday!

OOMA difference
I guess for openers, I'd ask how many non-telephony tasks can you run on your OOMA?

If you don't own Ooma, then how can you dislike it. I have Ooma now for ten months. Not one problem and great voice quality.callontom wrote:I don't like or own an OOMA system, I'm just trying to learn about the different systems that are out there. VOIP is definitely the future and PTSN will be obsolete. But back to my original question, anyone have a thought, thanks.
Make sure you got a LARGE space to put this .. I had ooma for
1 month and they NEVER could get QOS right and I hve 3000/1000
To me the BIG mistake ooma made was not making a small
hole in the back so you could hang it up on a wall .. it takes
up a LOT of room on a desk
Tech support good ..
I got mine on sale at Costco with 6 months of perm thrown in and
I still returned it ..
Think it was 200.00
Between MJ and Skype out I was hoping this would be better
