Strange registration problem with a SPA3102

Post by Mr_Dasher »

Hi,

I hope someone can help me with the strangest problem.

I own two MJ's and want to use one at home and the other to travel with me on the road. One I've owned since Dec/08 and the other I bought in April. Both are from different area codes. Also, I've just received the Linksys SPA3102-NA. I followed the settings illustrated in the forum.

I tried setting the MJ SIP info I wanted to use for home and I couldn't log on to the MJ service. I tried everything and then as a last ditch effort I tried entering the SIP info from my other MJ and it worked. I cut and pasted the orginal info back in and it wouldn't register.

I've setup softphones with the MJ info I want to use so I think the data is correct. I've put the SPA3102 on the routers DMZ so I don't think it's a firewall issue.

Maybe it needs more time than usual to register.

Any help would be appreciated.

Quick update:

For whatever reason I couldn't register on the default proxy that would logically be associated with the MJ phone number. I tried using other proxy location settings and it seems to work. I haven't gone through the entire list but every proxy I've tried worked except the one I would expect to be the default.

I have no why.
