One month later, still not able to Register and Activate

Hello. I have bought two magic jacks now, and neither has worked. I have spent five+ hours with their live technical support, to no avail. I have fine upload and download time, and I have had a combination of four people working on it over several weeks, hours upon hours--about 16 total.

I have no idea how to get past the registration form, as it NEVER sends me an email confirmation. It isn't in my spam box, and I am just so frustrated.

Can anyone tell me I am not alone in this magic jack nightmare? I need some serious help to make this work, but their experts have a lot of excuses. I have assistants who can work with me, but I need to get this going ASAP.

I would appreciate ANY and ALL advice that users can give me. I will send copies of chats I have had, ensuring that I have disabled firewalls while setting up, allowed the sites, done everything but dance a magic jack jig to make this thing work.

no expert but some ideas. Can you do a fresh install of your Operating system? then try. Sounds like a program, antivirus possibly , is blocking the install. Can you try it on a different computer? What exactly happens when you plug in the MJ?

Thank you for responding. It is just nice to know someone MAY be able to help me figure this out.

I have not attempted to uninstall Vista and reinstall. I will attempt that now.

Also, I will try it on a different computer.

What happens when I plug in mj is that the registration screen comes up. I register, and it says it will take a few minutes to install. Then the primary screen with the dial screen comes up, and it says I need to add phone number. But it never emails me the info that would give me a number, a serial number, a clue. I am so lost. Any thoughts on what kind of anti virus may be holding me up?

Well, no guarantee, but perhaps going to the website at http://my.magicjack.com/ and clicking on the "Remind me by email" button might force it to send a password to you.

Couldn't hurt, anyway.
