beep beep beep before normal dial tone on PAP2T

I am successfully running MJ on a Linksys PAP2T device and I can make and receive calls just fine. There is one minor issue that I cannot figure out. When I pickup my phone I get about 5 beeps before I get a regular dial tone. The beeps are the same type of beeps that you would hear if you have voicemail. The problem is I get these beeps all the time with or without VM. When I have the MJ dongle connected I do not get these beeps just when using PAP2. This sometimes causes a problem when I dial a number from my phones "phone book", the phone starts to dial during the beeps and it will not connect the call. Do these beeps have something to do with my dial plan? Anybody else have this issue? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

what settings did you change to get it working? I'm stuck setting the register expires to 0, which kills the inbound call ability. Anhow, I think that the beeping for you might be the messaged. I had that before but need to look up what I changed...give me about 5 mins.

That should stop the message issue, but you'll have to rely on your computer for messages while you are talking.

Trebuin, Thank you very much for your fast reply, I made the changes and it no longer beeps.

As far as getting the PAP2T to work again I pulled the credentials and the only thing that changed for me was the password. I changed the pw in the PAP2T and it functioned normally. I have Register Expires set to 3600. Sorry I could not be of more assistance.
