Does it work with a corded phone? Besides not working, what other symptoms does it give you?

Not working either

Have you tried it in another computer? I'm using a Gateway MA8 laptop, and I can dial out with the phone, but the actual call only works on the softpad through the speakers and mic on the computer. I tried it with a wired and wireless phone with the same effect.

However, when I tried on another computer, it worked perfectly. Unfortunately I still have not gotten it to work on my laptop though. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi
First of all, let me know do you hear dial tone ? If you hear dial tone then whether you can receive calls on cordless using MJ? If not then you will need to buy an AC power USB hub. You may also try with another phone set if you have . We prefer GE cordless telephone set

Who are you? Are you *real* magicjack support or just masquerading? Has MJ finally decided to participate in this forum?

One thing that I have noticed is that since this latest MJ firmware 'upgrade' a few days ago, 2 cordless phones that I had previously tested with MJ and were found to be not compatible due to low DTMF dialing levels and wouldn't dial out, are now dialing out FINE, so that is one good thing the change brought us anyway. Try a different phone and see if it dials out ok...
