Amazing. Just when you thought the sleazy marketing campaign for MJ couldn't get any sleazier, suddenly MJ is getting rave reviews on website blog comment sections. Only they are coming from a paid spammer who is dumping the same text singing the praises of MJ on blog after blog.
The transparent cut and paste spam job is truly outrageous, and now puts MJ in the company of the male enhancement product and home mortgage refinancing spammers. This is a fine way to alienate your company and product among the opinion makers online who run websites that are devoted to products like MJ, which are in turn read by hundreds of thousands of people looking for more information about products like MJ.
To intentionally run this kind of sham is not only unacceptable, but frankly stupid because it took just minutes to call out the campaign for what it is - sleazy spam.
Take a look for yourself. Cut and paste the sentence below into Google and enjoy.
Over the last few months I’ve been closely following the blogs and growing media coverage on the MagicJack, the coolest product to hit the marketplace in a very long time.

I clicked on the link provided above. Simply amazing; that's all I can say.
Wasn't it Belkin who recently got in trouble for paying its employees to visit web sites like Amazon and write glowing user reviews about Belkin products?

See the MagicJack Wiki (FAQ, How-To, history and more).
Real funny... it got posted up at my old review here about MagicJack on my blog and just decided it was spam.
Glad to see I was right... still odd.
