Individual International Call Charges
I have talked to Magic Jack and they refuse to tell me what they charge for individual calls made. I know what the rates are but they will not tell you what you paid for a particular call. And yes i know i can look up the rate and multiply it by the minutes i talked but i should not have to do this. This information should be available in my opinion. Anybody else have any experience with this ?

Thing is, what can we expect for $1.67/month? If you can figure out a way to download the call log on the soft phone, you can do the calculations in a spreadsheet.windsurfer wrote:This information should be available in my opinion. Anybody else have any experience with this ?
Can I ask why you need the cost of the call? Is it more than for interest's sake?

I will add MY 2 cents!!! If you want that kind of service PAY FOR IT!!!!
Go with a service that will give that Info. Pay-As-You-Go, T-Moble, Cingular/A&TT, and Virgin mobile. It takes $ to keep track of S**T you should be aware of!!""!!! Unless you are one of "those IDIOTS" that thinks somebobody should "do this for me" kinda person. Then you "Have A God Given Right to Bitch".

windsurfer,
How about this:
As you make your call, before it goes through a MJ voice tells you your balance in the international account. Note that amount. After you finish your call, place another call, note the balance and hang up. The difference should be an approximation of what your completed call cost. Unless you need it for billing purposes it seems like too much work to satisfy my curiosity. But whatever floats your boat.

There is no need to use their prepaid international service if you do not want to. You can for example use Telna which is a reputable, reliable regular post paid carrier. Some of their rates a higher than MJ, but they bill by the second. You can also use them for your cellphone and land line and they have a good travel card and also an international mobile service( a bit pricey, though) Tip : If you want to sign up your MJ with them then you have to register it with the as a cellhone, not as a land line.
