Wow...This Is Screwed!!!
If I take the Magicjack line off-hook, I hear dial tone, then call it from another PSTN line, I can hear ringing on the MagicJack line! Eventually VM kicks in.
Bug?

I should have said I keep the MJ line off-hook while I'm calling it from a PSTN line. I hear ringing through the MJ phone ear piece!!!rayj00 wrote:If I take the Magicjack line off-hook, I hear dial tone, then call it from another PSTN line, I can hear ringing on the MagicJack line! So you're telling me that the scenario I described is normal???maine-iac wrote:So, you are trying to find a problem where none exists and everyone else is just trying to get the thing to work.rayj00 wrote:Calls work fine in normal circumstance.maine-iac wrote:Try leaving the phone on-hook when calling from another PSTN line and see what happens.

BTW, yes, I have a masters degree in Information Systems and over 21 years in the US Air Force as a digital systems technician. Why look for problems when as you say, it works fine in normal circumstances? Not many people would even think of dialing their phone number when it is off hook.rayj00 wrote:So you're telling me that the scenario I described is normal???maine-iac wrote:So, you are trying to find a problem where none exists and everyone else is just trying to get the thing to work.rayj00 wrote: Calls work fine in normal circumstance.

It's not normal to hear ringing through the earpiece of a phone you just picked up!!!
