I was wondering if anyone could tell me how/if I can use Magicjack on my Dell Axim X50.

does it run windows, have usb ports? Does it meet the magicJack requirements? If so, it should work with MJ, if not, odds are against you but not necessarily impossible.

You need to review these forums and do your homework.

I have looked on the forum for anything about using a ppc for MJ but havent found anything.

1. it runs windows mobile 2003

2. no USB ports but if possible I could transfer the files via SD card.

I think you're SOL. Windows mobile is not one of the supported OS. If it can be done, you're going to have to do a lot of digging. Can't recall reading anyone getting this or similar setup to work.

Good Luck.

Maybe if you download some type of sip app, and get your MagicJack Credentials. But you will still need to somehow run the proxy fix.

Why would you want to? I used to have a version of Skype installed in my Axim X50 and while it worked, it was essentially not useful. I say this because of the limited battery life of the Axim w/802.11 wifi turned on. Also its pretty useless for incoming calls since the only way to preserve the battery life is to allow the device to put itself to sleep and therefore the wifi interface is shut down as well as the VOIP application.

Fring used to work until the current problem with using the mj without the dongle. I used it successfully until the recent change.
