I've been using my magicjack for about 2 weeks now. Here's my system:

I plug in my magic jack to any USB port, if I make a call or not, after between 2 minutes - 10 minutes, the softphone shuts down, and the magic jack turns itself off.
USB Selective Suspend is set to DISABLED
I have checked all of the USB Root Hubs........and they're power management is all set to off for the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power," question.
I have run the windows vista update.
I don't know what to do next, I'm in Paraguay, so sending it back to Magic Jack's a bit of an impossibility at the moment.
Magic Jack spontaneously shuts off
