Gizmo5 + GV + ATA calling out issue

I have a strange issue. Sometimes I make an outgoing call and it works perfectly and other times when I make an outgoing call I start receiving an inbound call from my GV number while I am waiting for my outbound call to connect. I then hit the flash key on the phone and the outbound call then connects fine. Why is this happening? Is anyone experiencing this weird behavior? Also has anyone tried to see if fax works on this type VOIP connection. I was always able to to send/receive fax using MagicJack. If I can solve these two issues then I might be free of MagicJack.

This also happened to me a couple of times. When I dialed a number call waiting beeped and it was my gv number. I hit flash and the call just went trough.

I changed the following settings and now I don't have to hit the flash button to the outgoing call to work.

I have a SPA1001, under user1, changed "CW setting" to no and also "CWCID setting" to no. Now outgoing calls work perfectly.

Please explain how your able to make an outbound call via ATA/Gizmo 5/Google

I know Google used to support sip calls from Gizmo 5 but pretty sure this was turned off.. also to make an outbound call you must first go to VM then hit a few other options to place the outbound call..

Are you guys sure you got ATA+Gizmo+GV working on outbound?

Yes outbound calling via ATA+G5+GV works and it displays your GV # on the caller ID. If you go to your Gizmo5 account the info is all there.

found a solution for the inbound call when trying to place an out bound call

login to your Gizmo account check forwarding all Calls > the click on sip then add your google number followed by @216.239.37.15:5061

[email protected]:5061

this should resolve the inbound calls when trying to make outbound call.

Does that solution only apply to ATAs that support Call Waiting? Mine doesn't.

I just tested to see if fax will work with G5+GV+ATA and unfortunately does not. Curious if anyone else got it to work.

i set it up Today and G5 with GV on my Pap2t NA and i its work faster then regular line on sending fax i fax to my K7 fax number about 15 pages fax and work very well.
I also send like 6 different fax today and all work fine without communication error.

I was using fax using Magicjack and its not working 100% like its work on G5.

so far its working fine now but only issue i have is its delay 10 second on outgoing call after you dial number.

i try so many different dial plan but still delay on all outgoing call.

after setting up an ATA can you call out on a regular home phone or do you still need the computer? I know it will work for incomming but how is that possible for calling out. Google calls you then the Gizmo number, so i don't see how it would work. You would still need a computer to dial out .
