TC input voltage??

Does anyone have the spec on the input voltage to the TC?

I have mine installed in the car and am wondering what the spec for range is. I dont want to damage the computer.

I am hopping there is some input conditioning circuitry that will make the 12 to 14V range of the car acceptable.

100-240Vac, 50/60Hz input. 12Vdc/3.33A regulated output

No, I was wondering about the 12V INPUT specs. I dont use the Power Supply as I power it directly from the automobile 12V buss.

I wouldn't expect it to be too stable. The automobile 12 volt buss ranges from as low as 8 volts during engine cranking to as high as 14 volts during charging.

I thought I was asking a simple question but everyone seems to be dancing around the hat and unwilling to talk about the input spec of the TC.

No, I am NOT asking what the car 12V buss is speced at.

I want to know what the T5700 input IS SPECED AT.

In my case the car 12Volt buss is very stable, 12 to 13.5 volts driven from the 170VDC motor battery through an inverter, no generator or alternator.

The engine starter runs on the 170VDC battery, not on the 12VDC battery.

But since no one seems to know what I am asking, I will get VERY specific.

1.) What is the lowest DC value that will satisfactory run the T5700?
2.) What is the highest DC value that the T5700 can stand without damage?

Try going to HP and checking out the manual. I'm sure it has the specs.

HP does not publish that spec. They assume you are using the companion power supply and supply only the AC spec for that power supply.

Then use the specs of the companion power supply. The power supply will list its output voltage and current on its label.

But I am not interested in the output spec of the power supply. I am interested in the input spec of the computer. These are two entirely different things. Voltage and current are not enough. I need to know the allowable range of input voltage.
