I have been doing a little research on not using the MagicJack adapter and putting the ATA adpater with MJ information to use it rather than leave a computer on.
I have been on two forums and some say it is still possible after the June update with a newer MagicJack. Some say it is not possible.
I just got my MagicJack 2 weeks ago.
I have a PAP2t adapter.
If it is possible what do information do I need to put on the ATA.
I tried Stroths utilites but get and INIerror3.
I don't know if I should try if it's not working at all.
Is MagicJack using ATA working or not? Confused now?

Yes, it works. I have a PAP2T and mine is working fine.
You'll need the proxy(MJMD5) software in order for it to work. This can be run on your pc or on a wireless router using an opensource firmware. I personally use DD-WRT on a Linksys WRT150N router.

So is MJMD5 the only way to work with an ATA adapter? I do have the Asus 520gu router which can use DD-WRT but if I don't need to run DD-WRT that would be better. I have my router already doing more stuff than it should and I don't want to use more of the routers cpu. I am using the router for samba storage and print server.
