Ooma Telo

Post by sabresfan »

I have been reading a little about the release of the ooma telo and must say I'm not that impressed with the way ooma has released their new product. If you go out and buy a new telo device for well over $200.00 you really don't gain anything IMHO from the ooma hub and scout. The new device requires the purchase of ooma premiere for voicemail and from what I have read an answering machine can't be used remotely because the ooma telo device does not pass DTMF tones to access your answering machine. You do get caller id but number only just like MJ. The device is sleek looking but for the cost and having to subscribe to a premiere service for voicemail and other features MJ already has or you can get with Magicbeans for the cost of one month of ooma premiere MJ is a better deal to me. I would think that Dan and the MJ staff are winning the battle at this time.
