Hi, All...
I've just purchased a used TC from eBay, it's on its way. In the meantime, I'm researching how to configure this thing. My situation is this: I have a Windows laptop, but no access to a separate monitor, keyboard, or mouse. Is there a way to somehow access the TC desktop from my laptop? I understand Teamviewer will work for remote access, but I also understand that Teamviewer has to be installed on the TC as well as the main machine before that can happen. The seller does not have the app installed on the TC; instead, the Teamviewer setup.exe link is on the TC's desktop for installation "if I so desire."
I do desire. But I'm stumped on how to access the TC desktop to install Teamviewer without having to go out and buy peripherals I won't need after I do the install.
Any ideas?
Many thanks.

It sounds like you purchased this TC from acpcguy on ebay, that's me! If so, then TeamViewer has already been installed on the TC. The ID and Password will be on a sticker on the case. You just need to download TV to the remote machine, run it and enter the ID/Pass to connect to the TC. Once connected, you can change the password towhatever you wish. Hope this answers your questions. Thanks...

Thanks, Alpman. One last question: I notice you have a scheduled task for the reboot on the TC every morning at four a.m. How did you schedule the task (a procedure that requires an Administrator password) without a password on the TC?
I've tried to set up a scheduled task to open a script right after the morning reboot which will allow MJ to dial local calls without having to enter the area code. The wizard always asks for a password... any ideas, short of setting up a dummy Administrator account?
Thanks. Oh, and I'll be putting excellent feedback on eBay for our transaction. This TC is great! Works even better than I would have expected.

To get the script to run as Admin with no PW, enter the blank password when it asks and then checkmark "Run only when user is logged in".
After you set it up then right click the task and select "Run" to test if the settings took. You may have to uncheck, re-enter blank password and re-check the box to get it to go.
Also, set the schedule for like 10-15 minutes after the reboot to make sure everything is up and running before the script executes. I use the same script on one of my machines and it works great if you follow the above.
I'm so glad you are happy with your purchase decision and thank you for the kind words and feedback. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Als, I appreciate you posting your questions in the forum so others can learn as well, but if you need a faster reply shoot me an email...thanks again
