I'm not sure the question is fair because while similar in many respects, they seem to be very different, as well. Kind of like asking if a blonde is prettier than a redhead. The big decider for me was MagicFeaturesPlugin gives you ten days to try out the product; with Magic Beans, it's more of a pig-in-a-poke, although there have been a number of testimonials for it.
From an aesthetic perspective, I think the MagicFeaturesPlugin wins handily. While I don't own Magic Beans, I've looked at some of the screen shots, and it has an almost DOS look to it. I thought the same thing when I asked to be a beta tester, and installed it a couple of times but never was able to get it to work.
To be fair, I have not really put MagicFeaturesPlugin through its paces, mostly because I use my MJ for outgoing calls, not incoming. However, based on my satisfaction with the product and service, and to take advantage of the holiday specials, I bought both the Skyjack and Xlitejack plugins. They both work as promised, and I'm very happy.

Just a few more thoughts as I rack up the number of posts to the forum. (I'm trying to see what happens when I get to 500!)
If you take a look at the two forums, Magic Beans and MagicFeaturesPlugin, each has a very different look and feel. The Magic Beans forum looks static and is more about pitching the product while the MagicFeaturesPlugin forum has a dynamic quality. There are a number of posts, questions/answers, and so on.
These may be subtleties not germane to to the original survey or to the product but have influence, nonetheless.
Like I said, I have not tried Magic Beans, so my comments are admittedly biased. With that being said....

The reasons I choose the Magicfeatures Plugin:
Known compatibility with Alpman's thin clients.
Ability to try before you buy.
Price is currently about half of MagicBeans.
The graphical user interface is prettier and seems like it would be much more intuitive to use.
The company also offers other MagicJack related software.

It appears that the MagicFeatures Plugin is being developed at much faster pace than MagicBeans. The development team is rapidly incorporating features that have been requested by their user base. So far this race looks like Seattle Slew the race horse verses Eeyore the donkey.
Hopefully this fresh introduction of competition will be the catalyst for the development of additional innovative MagicJack features that will be released at a fair price for the consumer.
