Can't switch to headset/other
After installing magicjack and doing the Windows 7 upgrade, I cannot switch from telephone use to "headset/other" use. Under Menu, there is not the line selection that says, "Switch to telephone" or "Switch to headset". This same magicjack works fine on another computer with Windows XP. Whats wrong. I have spent three hours with tech support with no solution.

Same problem, only the other way around
My MJ worked yesterday, but today everytime I pick up the phone I get a dial tone, even after I dial. Several hours with a tech chat and it turns out that my MJ is now set on Headset and I can't get it to switch to Telephone. My PC has no mic or speakers or headset. How to fix it I still don't know.
After installing yesterday it worked, but I had horrible echoes and cut-outs making it almost impossible to communicate. After reading some posts, I tried a powered USB hub, changing the priority to Background services, increased my page file size to 2048, and ran the optimizer. I still don't know if any of it worked because I still can't make any calls. In fack now I have no dial tone either, but the softphone window still says its ready. Oh, timeline correction as I was up all night with the tech chat: it wasn't installed yesterday, it was the day before.
Hopefullly a solution will be found. Perhaps this was caused by Magicfix, Upgrade, or Update. In any case, a Happy New Year to all!

Its a new day in a new year.

Same issues
I've spent numerous hours trying to get MagicJack to work on my 32 bit win 7 box. My issue sounds like the same as yours. When I pick up the handset, the magicjack window appears in the forefront however I have no dial tone. I am unable to select the telephone option from the menu (button is disabled). I am able to place calls using the mic and speakers but need the phone to use this. I've tried series of software upgrades/versions all to no avail.
