Are new MJ better?
Just wondering because my mom's new MJ setup on a Pentium 3 is perfect. No beeps at all. Calls are landline quality. I've had mine about a year and it's good, but i get a beep now and then. Have the new MJ's solved the beep problem? could it be or is it too early to be sure?

I wouldn't bet my life on it, but I believe there are only two flavors of MJ - pre-04/08 and post 04/08. I have one of each and can't tell the difference other than a minor difference visually. You can do a search and if you have the wherewithal, you can probably find the pictures on the forum.
I think the major improvements are in the software via the upgrades and with whatever network changes MJ does. From user feedback, it also seems that a lot of the quality issues have to do with network traffic and tend to be area specific, i.e. Los Angeles, New York, etc.
I doubt if the dongle makes too much of a difference. But I'm just opining.

I wish it were a dongle problem I would buy another if that was the case. I have had mine for one year and just renewed for another year. I do like the MJ but I wish I could find a telephone that it would work with. As long as I use just my laptop and my speakers and web cam mic it works fine, but any phone I hook up to it sounds terrible. I have tried every fix I can find to no avail. I will keep the MJ and use it as a 2nd phone for long distance but am unable to use it as a primary until I find a phone that will work with it. If anyone out there has a fix I am unaware of please enlighten me. Thanks.
