International Phone Card-Not Allowing PIN

Post by jackiehsu97 »

I'm having an issue with my calling card (phone card). MagicJack won't accept my PIN. I'm entering it right, and I hear DMTF tones... I also have tried both enabling and disabling the PIN not accepted thingy on my.magicjack.com, but still not working. Please help! :(
Thank you for stopping by, I hope I did a good job at addressing your concerns. For further concerns, please go to http://www.magicjack.com/techchat for a live representative. Thanks again!

Are you using a handset or the MJ softphone? Try both and see what happens.
Also, could be your 'net connection just became marginal and is not clearly passing DTMF tones.

Good luck

Problem...solved?

Post by jackiehsu97 »

I have tried using another phone (one of the old old ones), and I realized that if I correctly space and time each tone, it will accept the PIN. The wireless phones I am using just seem to not transfer the tones correctly... Anyways I guess I'll live with the partial fix! So, now that this is solved, how do I close this topic or whatever? Do I just stop paying attention to it? Is there something I have to do? :D :) :o

There may be some type of menu setting on your newer phone that allows you to control the duration of touch tones (DTMF)

It's up to you. You have no responsibility or obligation to pay attention to the thread. However, you can also come back and check for new posts, whenever you want. You can subscribe to the thread, so that if anyone makes a post to it, you'll receive an email. Just click the "Watch this topic for replies" link in the lower left corner of the screen (when the thread is opened). Once you do so, that link will change to "Stop watching this topic," so you may stop receiving email notices, if you choose.

Either way, the thread will just hang around, and fall further down the list, if no new posts are added to it. It will be here, and search-able for anyone else who had the same problem you did.
Enjoys a daily VOIP cocktail made from:

-One shot Magic Jack
-One shot TK6000
-One shot NetTalk Duo
-Two shots Ooma (it's bigger)

Shaken, not stirred.

Google Voice is the chaser.
