Basically, when I hit 'END' on my handset, Magicjack does not end the call! It just stays "Active". Sort of.
Actually, I bought two different phones to try and work around this problem. Vtech DECT 6 cordless and a Philips DECT 6 cordless. They have slightly similar behaviors. On the Vtech hitting 'END' leaves the call as active. On the Philips, it puts the call on hold. Either way, it's insanely annoying! Sometimes even if the other person hangs up, the call stays active until I pick up the handset and get a dial tone!
I'm running OSX 10.5.7. I don't know how to identify my MJ version but I bought it brand new last weak. I also went through upgrade.dmg with tech support as well as erasing the PHONE disk etc. Customer support recommended the Philips phone, but that obviously didn't help
The MJ is plugged right into my powerbook. The phone line goes straight into the base unit of the cordless phone. Maybe I should route it through the house system? I have no idea.
I can't believe no one else has this problem. Please help!
