Can't get MJ to work on Windows 7

I have upgraded XP to 7 and have installed the 7-patch supplied by MJ but cannot make any outbound calls or receive any calls. When dialing out I receive a dialtone and mj records each of my number inputs but does not ring the number. When calling into MJ the phone does not ring but gives me my voicemail message and allows me to leave a message that is sent to my email and lets me download and listen to it.

Right now it looks like all I have is a glorified answering machine.

Also, when I checked my account in My magicJack, it did not show that my current account has been extended for an additional 5 years. This was done last year.

Need help,

Did it work on XP before the upgrade to Win7? MAybe the Win7 upgrade enable the Windows firewall. Did you check?

I've had MJ since Aug '08 working just fine on XP. This problem did not rear its ugly head until after I downloaded the MJ Windows 7 "fix" and opened MJ.

Yes, my windows firewall is turned on in W7.

Tried redoing the whole process again....with the same results as above.

Is there anyone out there that can help me out with this problem?

I've got a phone system...paid for 5-years...that works only as a an answering machine.

Taking ashot in the dark here as I don't have Win 7. There is a new DOWNGRADE "update" for people with USB not seeing the MJ. Hey it is worth a shot as you can always upgrade it with the Win 7 patch on the MJ site if it doesnt work...

Wow, glad to hear it worked. I guess it was something in the new "update" that your Win 7 didn't like and the downgrade fixed it.
