Softphone Errors

Post by Intrepid »

After the Dec update 1.90.5212.3644 I started getting an odd behavior after a year of "nearly" flawless service .. at the initiation or termination of a call the soft phone crashes .. yet the inbound IP traffic continues ..

THOUGHTS ???

No thoughts except that I concur. I too have experienced nearly flawless service from MJ for the past year or so. Now with the new version, I am getting softphone crashes. After which point, things like Task Manager fail to operate properly, which I would otherwise use to kill whatever processes have a handle to the MJ software, which still appears in the task bar.

Best advice I can give? Endure a support session with the MJ folks in order to establish that this version has some serious reliability issues, more than the ordinary documented "issues" (we know what we're buying for cheap $$$, service works with computer up, etc, etc).

The last "major" issue I recall was over the holidays when the MJ failed to properly load the addressbook information and so no phone numbers, call history, etc, was appearing. They were pretty responsive in correcting this issue. Maybe they'll respond to this one as well.

MAYBE the last MJ update earlier this month messed things up for you ( it did for MANY).
Try this DOWNGRADE "update" see if it helps..

Yessir, BOTH upgrades messed things up for me. I can't speak for others, I know it did for me. I did receive this downgrade from their tech support after all. However, it's good to know the fact is we're not alone in this.
