You have to go on the website to register and get a phone number assigned. So open up your browser and go to www.magicjack.com

Okay you go to magicjack.com and then what are you supposed to do, there's no registration option there Just an ad and tech support that really don't help all they seem to do is read a script then pass you on to a " higher level of support " LOL ('') after hours of no luck I thought I would try here.Even when you log in to my.magicjack.com it takes you to a ad page that has a register button but when you press it thiis what the page reads "TAG Error:

The starting index of 1, is out of bounds for the apm:SUBSTR tag." The registration screen that opens with the dial pad is blank except for the top that reads" you must complete entire registration process .Your MagicJack will not have outbound or inbound calling capabilities unless you complete the process"

Problem is solved, I disconnected my router and registered MJ got my PHONE # assigned and reconnected my router. Now MJ works no problem thanks for replying to my post Chuts ':D' Just to make this more clear I disconnected my internet cable from the router and plugged it into my pc (make sure your firewall is on and have anti-virus activated before you disconnect your router ) reactivated my connection to my internet provider then I plugged in my magicjack when I clicked on the registration button the screen appeared, and I was able to register my magicjack and select my phone #.I then reconnected my router and connected my pc to my router,I thought I would have to make changes to my router but when I plugged in my magicjack it worked no problem.I guess my router was blocking magicjack from activating now that magicjack is activated it works as good as a regular phone,I hope this is explained better than my original posting.Cheers
