Lost the ability to fax with the January upgrade. The downgrade in the above post fixed this issue.

Thanks bitstopjoe

I just installed MagicJack last week (February 2010) and have been having some faxing issues. I've changed some settings and have been able to send a test fax to HP and get one back, but when I try to fax to other numbers it still fails. So my question to you is, should I try the downgrade as a possible solution to my dilemma?

Thanks!

My out of area code fax success rate went from 0% to 100% with the downgrade. It might be just my set up (win 7 64 bit using built in fax modem.) All that tweaking of the modem bit rate etc. makes no difference in my case.

Thanks for your quick reply. :)

I'd like to give the downgrade a try and see if this resolves my problem, but if it doesn't work, how difficult will it be for me to revert back to my prior configuration?

I don't know how to revert back. After you install the downgrade MJ asks for your login info after you enter it it blocks the automatic upgrade. Keeping you at the older software version. Which is exactly what I wanted.

I can't find a proper link to get to the download. I too am having fax problems after the last MJ sofware update. Can someone send me the link or file? Or should I just wait and hope they fix this?

thanks
