After this recent upgrade i have noticed that the two usb drives with the MJ icons in the "my computer" window are no longer there. now they are replaced with one cd drive and one removable drive with non mj icons. they are both unopenable and cant explore either one. it looks like they appear for a few seconds when i plug the mj in and after that they disappear and the new drive icons show up. before i was using evans software tool to use mj as a service. now i cant use it because the software doesnt detect the mj. everything works fine with the mj but now i cant use the as a service tool software or i cant even do the manual way of setting up mj to run as a service. because of the "my computer" changes. i have noticed that atleast others are seeing this new change to the drive icons. my question is does anyone know how to set mj to run as a service with the new changes with the new upgrade. anyone know how to workaround this new problem. any help will be apperciated. i really like the way mj sounds and performs when it is ran as a service. please someone help. thanks in advance.
As a workaround or possible alternative solution, you can always set it up normally and use the latest release of the free Magicsilence plugin tool at http://tools.pcphonesoft.com .
It is working with the "Lucky You" upgrade and stops the popup windows and keeps focus on your apps during calls. When you make a call, it also breaks dialtone.

What operating system are you running? At least on my XP system, nothing has changed with the upgrade that I just received. I still have 2 devices: MagicJack (E) and MagicJack (Vista-only) (F).
I have this cdrom thing and the other thing u mentioned really frustrating me cause i cant even safely remove hardware even after killing the magicjack process.
Same thing happened to me. MJ has somehow figured out how to hide the drives and released that implementation as part of their latest update.
I found a work-around which I posted in my thread for those who want to run my tool. In the mean time I am going to try to find out how to make those damn drives reappear.
