I ordered the magicjack ata back on Jan 28th 2010, This is now march 28th still no unit has been delivered, I tried to get a refund from paypal but the time has lapsed for opening a dispute.
I have email magicjack in Vancouver, Where I purchased it, and have been told "we are understaffed and will look into this next week" Well that was 3 weeks ago and still no word.I have sent an email demanding my $212.00 back and have not heard a word. What the hell is going on with this company.
When I ordered it back in January I cancelled my home phone figuring the 30 days notice with bell would give me my magicjack around the same time the 30 days were up as the website says 4-6 weeks for delivery..Well that did not happen.
I am still without a phone line in the house and the wife's not happy about that at all. Where can I call or email toget some action on this bogus scam going on from the Vancouver location.
Thanks in advance
Doug

MagicJack doesn't sell ATAs, so you weren't dealing with them. You were most likely dealing with some 3rd party that sells ATAs that are compatible with the MagicJack technology.
You should probably stop claiming that you dealt with "magicjack" and use the actual name of the company or person that you sent your money to.

Doug is referring to a company called canadianmagicjack which is not the same as the US MagicJack/Ymax we talk about here.
Doug, I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with them, and unfortunately, I cannot help as I've not dealt with them at all. However, if you go to their website and check under the "About" tab, there's more information there about who/what/where that may be of help to you.
Perhaps the BBB in Vancouver can help?!?!

As Kaptain_zero said, It was do not trust - spammer and they do sell the ata units with shipping and taxes it comes to $212.00.
I think I would know if I did not buy direct from magicjack...Even my paypal account shows magicjack.
I have checked the "about" page and called all the numbers and sent numerous e-mails and have had 2 replies saying "we are understaffed and will look into this next week".
That was about 2weeks ago and I have even left a couple of messages on the phone and nothing heard...Thanks for your help and if the mailman shows up with it I will post it here.

Hey DSS,
Sorry but you are not infact dealing directly with "MagicJack". CanadianMagicJack, magicjackcanada, themagicjack.ca, etc.... they are just a reseller company and that is their business name purely for the purposes of increasing their business and have no direct connection with MJ/YMAX except they get a deal on buying bulk orders of the MJ dongle...
But that aside, you still have an issue....
You paid with PayPal, how did the funds come from YOU, via your bank account or through a credit card you setup with PayPal? Possibly you can start a dispute or charge back with your other financial institution where the funds originated from?
Have you tried telephoning them or ask for a tracking #, etc???
I agree you are getting a crappy run around, and Canada Post should take no more than a week to get a package to T.O... It's not like its leaving the country and has customs to deal with.
