This feature transfers incoming calls from your magicJack™ number directly to your cell phone, work phone, etc.; as if the forwarding number you store below was dialed directly. Thus, forwarded calls will NOT be picked up by your magicJack™ Voicemail.
If you're referring to the MJ voicemail, this is posted right on their site when call forwarding, so I would contact LIVE MJ and see if they can explain it...if you mean your cell phone voicemail, sorry, no answers here

seems to me then the problem might lie with your cell phone provider....maybe because it's MJ, it's ringing too many times "within" the system before you get to hear it (my cell rings 5 times for me, but the wife says it only rang once...know what I mean
) causing the voicemail to take over...just a thought! Good luck!
Try calling your MJ number from a phone (not your cell phone). Listen on the calling for how many rings you hear in the ear piece. At the same time, listen for how many rings your cell phone rings. Are the number of rings the same of different.fatmaninthebathtub wrote:Its my cell phone voice mail that kicks when MJ transfers to my cell, my cell dosent even ring it goes straight to voice mail when i dial my MJ # with call forwarding activated.
With my cell phone service, the caller hears 4-5 rings but on my cell phone, I only hear 2 rings and if the cell is in the belt holder, there isn't enough time for me to get the phone out before the call goes to voice mail. I called the cell phone company and they said they have no way to change the number of rings my cell phone will make before the call goes to voice mail.
