Echoing and cutting out on my iPhone

Post by kawikaratekid »

Hey all,

I have my magicjack hooked up to my jailbroken iPhone. It works good on occasion and other times it cuts out, has a really big delay and echoes. This problem occurs in areas where I have full reception. I expect this type of thing to happen in areas where I don't.

Is it possible that the settings for Siphon could be effecting this?

This is over 3g I guess? also what proxy are you using? might be worth tiring a different one see if that improves call quality

Ya I'm going over a 3g network. The proxy that I'm using now is 67.107.71.134. Not sure where that is. Should I just google a proxy? Will my password and username work on the others.

it should. there is a list on this site of other servers. you dont have to use the IP of the proxy server but I like the IP better.

I'll try changing the ip and proxy server and see how that works. Thanks

I tried changing it from a list in another thread and it didn't work. It should be as simple is entering the new numbers into the correct spots right?

never mind that post. I figured it out. Now I'm using Boston and it seems to be working. One thing that I noticed after a few attempts was my volume was to loud. The mic would pic up what the person said last and create an echo. Once I turned it down several locations worked. Not the original one though as it was cutting out.
