Is it safe to use MJ when ordering with a credit card?

My MJ is working great and I don't have any problems. However, is it possible for a third party to listen to your conversation? I need to give a company my credit card info.

Good question, a google search brought up lots of ways to eavesdrop on voip calls. I don't know the specific risks with MJ, but alternatively, does the company have a secure website for the transaction? Alternatively, for the few pennies it will cost, can you call on a land line or cell phone?

Thanks Tony. You gave me the word I needed to do a better search (eavesdrop). I moved into a new house in South Texas and have been trying to get a land line installed however the Hispanic culture is thoroughly ingrained in the society. So I got tired of them saying "manana" and I installed MJ. I think I will use my cell phone.

Much easier to snoop cell call than VOIP.
In any event, you're being paranoid about the whole deal. If you are truly concerned, get something like lifelock...

Your MJ phone call is converted to digital code like anything you do on the Internet. It's easier to pick up a conversation from a cordless phone, or a cell phone (like it's been said already). An eavesdropper would have to have a wireless notebook and be roaming through your neighborhood (or living close enough to your home) to pick up anything from your MJ conversation (and only if you're wireless too) and then decode it.

You are not responsible for any unauthorized charges on your credit card and your credit card company will protect you. By law, the maximum you can be held liable for is $50 and most credit card companies will even negate even that.
