MJMD5 from outiside? (non-lan?) externaly

Post by max8987 »

I got my SIP details and iSip works fine locally like 192.168.... while MJMD5 is running... but is there a way I can access this from outside my LAN, on a differrent WIFI like by putting in my external IP address and forwarding some ports? what ports do i forward? how do i set up MJMD5 to do that?

Is there any way to do this??

Any help will be much appreciated!

Clarification

Post by max8987 »

Im sorry, to clarify - I am trying to get my IPhone to run a SIP client (it is not jailbroken so i am using iSip) to connect via either 3G or WIFI somewhere else, externally outside my home network. (So i can make calls on an iphone that has no service, just internet access)

is there any way to do this with the MJMD5 magichack?

You will at the bare min need to port forward what ever port your mjmd5.exe is listening now through your router.

ie pub ip ---> port number ---> private IP.

The other issue you may have will be voice. Do to nating you may not have voice on both sides.
