Better server for better calls?

I recall some posts re changing the phone number to an area code(?) with better servers (or perhaps, better 'something else'). Does anyone recall? I'm having some connection & voice issues and would be willing to pay the $10 to change, if it will help.

If so, can you please point me to an area code in the NY/Long Island area? Or in the alternative, an area code in either Miami or Dan's neighborhood? Much appreciated to any/all!

Changing your phone number may not change the server your MJ connects to. Look in the MJ wiki http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/MagicJack it has the instructions in it for blocking/changing the server your MJ connects to. Also search in the forum here for what you want to achieve. Almost every problem imaginable with MJ has been discussed at one time or another.

Thanks Sabrefan. As I'm not sure I'm remembering it correctly, or perhaps it's not really called a 'better server', mind very much confirming what it might be called that I should be searching for? Is 'better server' accurate enough, or is it termed something else?
