I have been using MagicJack for some time now. Recently (as in I do not remember this being as much of an issue before as it is now) I can get calls that I dial out completed. However any telephone service that has an automated attendant which requires say a response of enter 1 for sales, 2 for whatever... or if you have to enter say an account number or access code on the keypad, it will fail. Occasionally it will work better if I hold each key down for a few seconds instead of just like you normally would do in dialing and releasing. Credit card, and most major businesses have the dial your extension or 1 for english, etc and more and more have no operator or attendant that can be reached.
Anyone else have this issue and suggestions to improve the passing of the tones to any automated phone system? Any settings or changes that MagicJack support could make on their end or some sort of tweaks to the MagicJack parameters?
Calls completed but touch tones not working w automated sys

I have the MagicJack wired into my telephone system and never in the same room as the PC running, so that is hard to do. Another thread on this forum discussed the issue as being the MagicJack download of new software updates and causing the issue. Further discussion was there used to be parameters for setting this so it worked better, but the new updates have eliminated those.
Anyone else have suggestions- I 'll have to find the thread I was reading last week on a different section of this forum.

The only things I can think of to try are to contact MJ chat support and see if they can increase the level of your DTMF tones. The other is to try and switch servers and see if things improve but this is just a wild guess. You could also get your sip credentials and use MJ with an ata but this violates their TOS.
I am going to try the email address listed elsewhere on here for help.
Here is the other thread that was posted pretty much discussing the same thing.
