For some reason today the app MagicRingForever stopped working, My MJ just got an update or something because my other MJ tool stopped working which is MagicSilence. Anyone else having this issue?

MAYBE had you done a search you would have seen this:

Only way is to have your machine pick up in less than 4 rings. THOUGH a trick you can do is to forward your MJ TO YOUR MJ#. In theory it should cause your phone to ring forever.. I have never tried this but it should work. If you try it please let me know if it works.

We'll thanks for the input. I logged into my account and tried to forward the number but it still didn't work. See MJ goes to voice mail after 4 rings & the lowest setting on my answering machine is 4 rings. I guess I'll just have to wait for the update to come out.

Damn I thought that trick would work. Maybe it did prior to their update..

Are you sure your machine only has a setting for 4 rings? I have seen 2, and 4 but never JUST 4...

Hopefully they will have the update soon is right...........

The only near term solution that I am aware of that will definitely be left standing for answering machine pickup will be the MagicFeatures "double ringing feature for external answering machine pickup".

You will need Magicfeatures Release 1.12 that includes compatibility enhancements for the new major magicJack dialer release (2.x that started being forced out around Aug. 19th). It will be available for download in the next few days.

Well found this on another page looks like a bad sign for the use of an answering machine.

Wish they would have left the thing alone. All updates seem to do is mess up a good thing for a lot of people.
