Sounds cuts out completely after 1 minute!

Post by snowcrash »

Hello,
So I have a really bizarre problem that I am hoping some kind soul can help me with.
This just started happening about a week ago, when I (coincidentally) renewed my service after 1 year.

The problem is this:
The audio quality on the calls I make/receive are great, but they start to get garbled/cut out after about 30 seconds..then 1 minute into the call, my voice gets ultra faint and then cuts out totally. After that, you can't hear anything (maybe a few syllables in between here and there) and you have to hang up and try again (after which the same thing happens again).

I've been through hours of tech support (like everyone else on this forum) with no resolution.

I have good speed (15mb down/1.3 up on the wireless and even better wired), checked my VOIP stats and they are all smashing, added exceptions to my firewall and router, restarted, upgraded, restarted again, etc etc etc...

Absolutely no resolution.
I am located in Sweden.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just bumping this.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Is it related to this upgrade everyone's complaining about? Maybe the 5 minute limit mentioned in another post (though my problem was not fixed yesterday)..

I got another suggestion from MJ support to try Hotspot Shield, needless to say, that didn't work either. I don't think they'd be blocking VOIP in Sweden, and wouldn't it just not work at all if they did?

Cheers!

Just for grins, try the MJ on another PC.

Run this VoIP test and see how your connection rates.
