When I signed up for MJ, I had read that at the time the Boston area had good servers and call quality was good.
I'm now thinking of switching to a number in Myrtle Beach, SC 843-808-xxxx
I need this number more for call forwarding so I have a local number from my hotel when I'm there. I was going to use Google Voice, but they have no local numbers there.
(1) So, I'm asking if call and connection quality still depend on your area or server? Or is it all the same everywhere.
(2) Also, used to get 1 number change free, but now it says it's $10.00. Is this correct?
(3) And lastly, how long does it take them to switch over to a new number? Is it right away or is there a time period and if so, how long on average?
Thanks for reading
Quality of service from different area codes??

I'm no expert here, but from my experience, I'm not sure having a Boston area code is going to get you a Boston server, but then I could be wrong. When I had a NY area code, I was transferred thru a Dallas server, and now that I have a CDN area code, I'm STILL being transferred thru a Dallas server (most of the time, although it does change once in awhile)...and for the record, I get much better performance from Dallas than any of the others I get sent thru.

I've never had a problem with my MJ, so that's why I'm asking. If I was to change my number, would there be any change to my service?
Also looking for confirmation that they actually are now charging for a number change and if anybody knows how long it takes to go through. Going to Myrtle Beach on Monday and would be nice to have a local number that I can forward to a number here in Canada
Thanks
