Using MagicJack in UAE [ WORKING!!! ]

Post by unreal253 »

Okay folks, this is a very good solution. I finally figured out how to get MagicJack to work in UAE via Etisalat. : )

Download Hotspot Shield. Since most websites are blocked naturally by Etisalat, I found a link to download the app.

http://www.webtechgeek.com/files/HSS-1. ... ek.com.zip

Unzip the folder and install.

After install, the program does change all of the browsers to run off a Proxy Server. So you might want to go into your Internet Explorer to revert back to default settings.

Tools>Internet Options

Under the "Connections" tab click on LAN Settings.

Uncheck the proxy server connection and check the "Automatically Detect Settings" box.

After turning on Hotspot Shield, plug in the MagicJack and it should work.
You'll know it works when the status of MagicJack says: "Ready to call"

I hope this helps everyone out.
Post any questions.

You're welcome :)

Also you can subscribe to www.privatevpn.com (cheap) and establish and secure tunnel where you can go and do what you please on any ISP anywhere. This solution has been tested and works in Dubai.

I had HotSpot Shield on my machine for five minutes. It installed so much crap in my browser that I deleted it. It took me forever to completely remove it from my system. If you are going to use it, uninstall Mozilla and Chrome first. Then install HotSpot Shield, then reinstall these browsers. Your IE will be junk, but at least it won't pollute everything else. My personal advise is to avoid it.

MJ doesn't seem to work in Dubai, UAE

Post by AB »

Hi all,

I bought Magic Jack while I was visiting the US last month. Unfortunately it seems to be blocked in Dubai, U.A.E. Any tips on how to make it work?

The error it gives is "not connected, No network connection, Error 9".

I read something about the Hotspot shield which had mixed reviews.

Any tips would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Using MJ in the U.A.E.

Post by tintin888 »

Hi ..
In the past had luck using MJ in the U.A.E. using Hotspot Shield.
Now never connects and get error;
"127.0.0.1 is not set-up to establish a communication port 895 with this computer."

I have reloaded the program and it still doesnt work.

Does anyone know a way around this?
Even a paid service that will definately work.

PLEASE HELP !!!

This is how you can get it to work

Hello,
I have seen people complaining about Magicjack not working in Dubai or UAE and other countries in general and I tell them to use the following service. It works like charm and quality is amazing. hours worth of non dropping talk. Plus you get extra security for your internet with it. No craps installed on your device and their servers is great. I just run the software and I open magic jack. VOILAA.. it is done
It is at www.callfromanywhere.com
There is a monthly fee (20 or 24$/mo) but the amount of saving you do on the long run is amazing.
So far I didn't find a better one.

Tested it myself

I am using the service from www.callfromanywhere.com and it is working great in Abu Dhabi, Etisalat. My MJ is working perfectly with very good voice quality. I guess we can call it a successfull tested service for anyone who has the same problem

Why pay 19 USD for www.callfromanywhere.com when you can get better service from www.privatevpn.com for 6 USD per month?

Privatevpn.com also offer a trail of 3 days. I have been a customer of privatevpn for 1 year now and I'm very satisfied with the service.
