Pending ACK and dropped incoming calls at 30 seconds

Post by pb1111 »

I've suddenly started getting dropped incoming calls at the 30 second mark and have the message "Pending ACK" until that point. Outgoing calls work fine. I'm running the MJ on my Intel Mac 10.6.4 through a Linksys WRT54GS router. I tried the MJ on an XP PC, also running through the same router, and get the same results. Both computers are wired to the router.

I've chatted with MJ tech support several times but can't seem to get anywhere with them. Both systems and the MJ have the most current updates.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Pete

Chances are it is your Linksys router. Do a search here on your router
to see what you can do, but first I would look into getting the latest firmware for your router on the Linksys web page.
You may also want to do a search on tomato, yes tomato.

What did you do to fix the problem? I have a similar problem, evry incoming call gets dropped after 30 secs. All outgoing calls work fine.

Have an old toshiba laptop, wireless and cordless phones. Win-xp-SP3

All I had to do was download and install Tomato firmware for my router. It was painless and worked instantly.

Which tomato release did you use and did you have uPnP and NAT-PMP enabled or disabled. Did you apply and QoS settings?

I did not have luck with Tomato on my Linksys WRT54GS (v2.1). Which router version do you have please? Thanks.
