Anyone noticed MagicJack site has been down completely for past half hour at least? No Site no phone :(

Are you using comcast by chance ?
I just confirmed taht magicjack.com is accesible thru iphone on AT&T network, as well as through an aircard via T-Mobile..
trrying to determine if it specific to comcat ISp blocking magicjack, thakn you for your reply !

Yes I've noticed that too. When I realized the site was down as well as phone service, I hit centralops.net and the A-record for the domain is still accurate. Since some friends are reporting some other outages around the net I'll wait and see what's happening.

<edit>I'm using Comcast.</edit>

I am also not able to connect via Comcast (error 3) + no dial tone. It was working fine as of yesterday and there have been no network or firewall changes by me. I wonder what Comcast is doing!

It's been down for me for the past 30+ minutes - I am on Comcast in the SLC, UT area. I am unable to log on to the my.magicjack.com site, though the SALES MJ site is up.

Related to the update from 2.01 to 2.03? I HOPE it's not a Comcast thing. <grumble>

Yes. I do have Comcast. Just saw your post after I submitted mine. I don't know if Comcast is blocking MJ but I can't even get on the MJ site!

ok, so it's looking more and more specific to Comcast users then... i'm beyond annoyed rihgt now.. I work from home and kind of can't do my job right now ! I'm calling them now to see if I can get any information from comcast support.....

I wouldn't doubt it's a Comcast thing. They've been doing upgrades like mad here (Alabama) and if you don't use the cable box to tune channels you can watch other people's OnDemand. Crazy stuff.

I just spoke with MJ support and they say the problem is on their end and that they are working on it.

I'm back up... on with comcast now. they know notyhing about the issue. thx all for quick updates. hopefully just a fluke

That's good to know, thanks for posting!

MJ dialtone is up for me now and my contact list has downloaded after a delay, but my call list is still not downloading. I think we just need to be a bit patient as this is an unscheduled outage which it seems like they are addressing.

I'm a comcast customer also.

I've been using MJ for over two years without any trouble.

And now the root cause of the problem appears that it might very well be the ISP... probably ticked off at the fact that they are not selling as much comcast digital phone service as they would like.

I thought wee were back up/fixed...but I can't get incoming calls yet.

how weird is it that it would be MJ's issue... but specific to comcast users ????

magicjack NOT working this morning and I am NOT able toaccess there website as well???? I can browse anywhere else and no changes made to pc. HELP

ps is there an update I should have? version 2.01 ???????

Mine's back now and MJ.com up again. Talked to comcast. Rep. said they weren.t blocking MJ and didn't know of any problem.

I don't think it is Comcast - I'm on Charter and have the same situation here. MJ says "Ready to Call", but no dial tone.

Not to be mean, but if you people would read earlier posts, you would see that someone contacted MAGICJACK and was told it was an issue on their end and they are working on it.

We can't get MJ to work or any of their sites on the net.
We are using ComCast.
Getting error:3
I did notice, since the upgrade that none of my power saving schemes are working as long as MJ is plugged in.
Perhaps that is one of the problems with their poorly designed upgrade?

I had the same issue earlier. I have WOW! as my service provider. I got a dial tone, but every number I dialed I got dead air or a fast busy signal. I am glad it works now!

Well, for me, service was "restored" -- sort of. I managed to make a few outgoing calls but just got cut off in the middle of a conversation with a client. So service for me is still on again, off again.

Not a happy camper.

Just got done with MJ Support ( I use the term loosely)

The system was down for maintenance & upgrades.
Seem to have a newer software version.
Now my screensaver activates with Comcast and XP.

Not sure if the rest of the power scheme is working ( sleep modes )

I'm on Comcast and MJ had down too.

No the service seems to back and my phone rings but can't hear any voice of the other end.

Im with ATT and somehow i have the same issues with what you have. I could also hear a dial tone but its not letting me dial a number.
I just started MajicJack last month and it was already working. I unplugged and replugged the dongle and it said "Lucky You! Upgrading"
I dont know what lucky means to them when the service is not working anymore.

Seems like it is down for some but not all.
I am in N.E. PA and all is fine here, phone and getting to their web page..

Has to be a server issue.....

I just did an online chat with comcast.. they reset my line and it fixed it..
The rep said it was an IP issue.

Sounds good guess I'll have to call Comcast, but my husband is playing that new MMO Rift or something today and is scared to death if we reset the IP it will kick him out of the server..and he will not be able to get back in since today is the first day for this game! Will this happen? *sighs*
