911 Question?

Post by Alphamale »

Hi my computer has 2 internal hardrives. The 1 TB one has Windows 7 U on it while the other has Vista Home on it. My question is why does the Vista one has the green 911 on it which has been verify but the Windows 7 U which i use does not have the 911 Verified yet.

Ask Magic Jack Support to reset your account, or you can go into internet explorer and in your address bar, you will find a link that will show the 911 info. Then select your location and refresh the page until it says that the 911 has been valadated. If the 911 is still yellow on the softphone, You could click on Add a new location, and cancel. That should make the 911 go green. You will have to mess with it every time you start up the magic jack.

Hope this helps.

Mine's yellow now on both MJs. The address is correct on both, so I'm not going to worry about it. As long as the phone calls work that's all I really care about.

I just put the # for 911 in speed dial location 3289 that way I just hit 3289 to dial 911. Much easier to remember it that way. I hope this helps.

Try to turn off your computer, turn back on your computer, start MJ, and see what happens.

Ok that did work. But last night when i turned the computer off it said this.

MJ Aplication error the insruction at 0x68b75e4b reference memory at 0x68c31e4b. The memory at 0x68c31af8 The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate. And when i just turned it on today it said this again. But when you ask me to shut it down again it came up ok.

Sounds like it was a memory issue. It is a good idea to shut down your computer and reboot it again every few days. That resets the memory. Restarting it doesn't reset the memory. I am glad that I got it working for you!

Not to hijack the original topic, but I'm getting the memory error message too. Mine is not going away on shutdown. It does go away when MJ is unplugged and I shutdown or restart, but comes back when plugged back in. Any suggestions, or is the start of my device failing?

This is still coming up after i shut the computer down. Any one have some ideals what i could do to fix it.
