Can't get through to several numbers....
My MJ works fine in most respects... except recently I've started getting 3 beeps and nothing when calling certain numbers. I've tried the folks morning noon and night and even emailed some of them and the answer is their phone is fine and they have no trouble making or getting calls...so whats going on here ?

Blocking Google Voice and the FCC
I was just looking at the DSLreport.com magicJack forum, and one person is having her Google Voice numbers blocked by MJ as fast as she can apply for another one.Bill Smith wrote:To call the blocked area codes and/or numbers, set up a google voice account ("GV"). Use your MJ to call GV, and then call the number you want to contact. Another poster suggested this several weeks ago and it works.

They are blocking the FCC's 800 number too!

GV is using at least 2 CLECs for their numbers;bandwidth.com and level3. Any other options?Bill Smith wrote:My GV number is in the 213 area code, exchange 537 and it still works. Does someone need to start a list of blocked GV area codes and exchanges? This is getting to be unreal.
Please post your GV number with the first 7 numbers so they can be correlated to the CLEC provider, and indicate if they are blocked by MJ
Good Luck

That appears to be a bandwidth.com number based on this website linknailgunner wrote:If someone is looking for a GV exchange that is working good, at least for now, mine is 662-626-7xxxcrackerjack wrote:GV is using at least 2 CLECs for their numbers;bandwidth.com and level3. You can use this url before you grab a GV number, just substitute NPA for area code, NXX for exchange and X for first digit of body
Good Luck

Please supply the 7th digit so the exact CLEC can be identifiedNugrl wrote:I just want to post the Google Voice #'s on here that are not working.
724-804-xxxx and 412-254-xxxx
The one gv # that is working for right now is
724-610-xxxx
Good Luck if anyone wants to try any of these.
Check again, this number 724-610-xxxx shows as belonging to YMAX, I am sure it was not issued by GV!!!!
Good Luck

I have no idea WHAT kind of number it is. I used their list of available numbers, ran them through a "turning numbers into words" program, and picked one. The number is still working as of last night is all I know.crackerjack wrote:That appears to be a bandwidth.com number based on this website linknailgunner wrote:If someone is looking for a GV exchange that is working good, at least for now, mine is 662-626-7xxxcrackerjack wrote: GV is using at least 2 CLECs for their numbers;bandwidth.com and level3. sorry I forgot to add the 7th # so here it is again 724-610-9xxx
so why do you say this number was not issued by GV?
Also..... can you explain to me exactly how this works? what is the purpose of this....
