GV number Research Survey both working and not
It may be informative if MJ users with GV numbers would post their numbers with the first 7 digits and indicate whether or not they work with MJ.
We may be able to determine, in advance, if it will work with MJ based on which CLEC is supplying numbers to YMAX/MJ.
If you want to try for yourself, use this webpage:
http://www.localcallingguide.com/lca_prefix.php
where NPA=Area Code and NXX=Exchange and block=body number. Note:Some exchanges pertain to more than 1 CLEC so at least the first body number should be provided.

I am not sure but I think I have an answer to your question. Yes, I do have a GV # that can not be dialed by someone else using their MJ #. They are also getting the 3 fast busy signals when dialing it. The GV # is 724-804-8xxxredpepper wrote:When outgoing access to a given GV number is blocked by MJ has anybody found that incoming calls to their MJ via that same GV number are also being blocked?
My guess would be no but has anybody found out otherwise. This information could be quite useful.
I hope this helps.
Ok, by forwarding, do you mean adding your MJ # to the list of phones on the GV#? If so, I can forward calls to my MJ# from the GV# and receive calls using my MJ phone handset, but,.... when I try to dial out using my MJ phone handset with the phone that has been added to the list of phones on GV, all I get when I dial into that GV# to be able to connect to another phone# whatever it maybe, is 3 fast busy signals.crackerjack wrote:GV number=Bandwidth.com againcell14 wrote:GV : 305-537-6xxx

I had bitstopjoe call that very same GV# from his MJ# and he too got the 3 fast busy signals.
So this is where I get confused, because like I said, I am able to add my MJ# to the list and if say like my sister calls that GV# from a local landline, my MJ phone will ring, and it works just fine. I also would like to add, that if I call into the GV# using my cellphone to place a call with that GV# instead of my cellphone # it too works just fine. I hope this helps.

uh oh
Too bad, this blows the pattern. This is a bandwidth.com and is the first one reported to have MJ 'allergy'Nugrl wrote:The GV # is 724-804-8xxx

Any more failed numbers that cannot be reached via MJ?
Good Luck

Sorry.....
Hey, call me crazy, but, could it have anything to do with the Eff Date of the number? the reason I ask is because 2 out of the 3 numbers that do not work with my MJ phone (dialing out using the GV#) have the same Eff Date and the one that does work is a different Eff Date. just a thought.....
