connecting telephones

So, I had MJ for a few weeks.
Connecting the telephone directly to MJ, the volume is a little weak, but I can put up with it.

Next, I thought, hey, why not connect MJ to my whole house telephone lines and connect a couple of telephones.

Works.

But the telephone volume is even weaker. Any ideas on how to increase?

Have you tried adjusting the Speaker and Microphone settings? Click on Menu, then Volume/Headset Contol. Make sure Telephone is selected as the Device, then adjust the Speaker and Microphone slide bar controls to your liking. I have mine set at just a bit under 3/4 of the way up.

Note, adjusting them too high can cause echo, so adjust accordingly.

If it is just not a volume setting then you should try a powered USB hub to plug the MJ dongle into. That in turn will provide more power to your phones. Powered hubs are very inexpensive.
