911 verification process debacle.

Post by kemo45 »

Does anyone's 911 service turn green after the new update? I have contacted MJ 3 times, it has been months and still, no help. I have re-registered, re-loaded,rebooted and still nothing. It is sad that this cannot be resolved by MJ.

This has nothing to do with which operating system is being used, I have one on XP and one on Windows 7, same result.

Everything else works fine but the 911 window will not turn from yellow to green. Both were green from the beginning until their last upgrade. It does not take months for verification.

This is unacceptable.[/b]

So is not searching first unacceptable :)

You are not alone. Many have had it yellow and it has cleared up on it's own for some, and still yellow for others.

Yup, still yellow. Life's too short to worry about it.

Mine seems to be a cross between yellow and green, I assume that means it's thinking about it? Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction to get this fixed?

I had this problem when I first started using MJ. It stayed yellow for months. Then, I just kept re-adding my address until finally it greened up.

Now, I don't bother. Mine is still yellow.

I've heard that if you get real drunk, lean in REAL close and stare at it, it will turn almost any color you want.

It's all a bad trip, man.... I also fiddled with the address a couple of times without success.

I tried searching first, there was no helpful information. I thought if I started another thread and enough people complained, MJ would actually correct their last upgrade, I guess not. I do not understand how a company puts out an upgrade with all of these issues and then once brought to their attention by many people, do nothing about it. I talked to CS 3 times and they do not have a clue. Three months ago CS said they will turn this over to the engineers, that has been a lot of help. I guess I just expect things to work they way they are represented. How in the Hell does a company think that disabling their 911 service is an upgrade?

My understanding from prior posts, is that when it's yellow it still works, it just may or may not be fully integrated with your local system. They haven't disabled it, per other posts, they called and it worked fine. If it's that important to you, I would make a test call, and say "oops..wrong number" when they answer.

As Nailgunner mentioned yellow 911 STILL works, so HAD you done a search like you said you did I THINK that would qualify as helpful information, no?
