just shuts off

I've had the magicjack for weeks now and it has been working fine. I don't know whats happened but when I turn my PC on now...it turns on like its going to load and then just blips off the screen before it finishes....I'm running XP....and I'm not sure what else I should tell you....I've tried to uninstall and re-install and nothing seems to help..........is there any advice...

Are you using the extension cable that came with Magic jack by chance.

ok so i took the cord off and pluged it directly into the usb and it did the same thing

Make sure you are using a REAR usb port on the PC as yes it makes a difference.
The short extension cable has been known to cause many wierd problems which is why it was suggested you do not use it.
You may also need a POWERED usb hub...
