Hi All,
For the past few days I've been having problems with my MJ. I originally had it running in my router, but then plugged the dongle into the computer and the phone into the dongle. It started to work again but is now not making outgoing calls.
Are the MJ servers down, or am I the only one having these problems?
Thanks,
Johnny Philko
Is it just me?

I "assume" you mean you had it running via ATA.. Do a search on ATA and see MANY are have problems since MJ has started rotating your password...JohnnyPhilko wrote:Hi All,

IF you mean you had your dongle plugged into your router, then your Magic Jack must REALLY be magic as it won't work that way as it needs an OS to work.

Lol, Yes I had it running via ATA, but now it is not working using the dongle the way it was designed to run.bitstopjoe wrote:I "assume" you mean you had it running via ATA.. Do a search on ATA and see MANY are have problems since MJ has started rotating your password...JohnnyPhilko wrote:Hi All,

Yes the dongle in the PC is the way it was designed to work. I have been using it that way for over 2 years now with no problems.JohnnyPhilko wrote:I understand about the rolling password and how that would be a problem running via the ata, but plugging in the dongle and running it through the computer should be working, shouldn't it?
I can get a dialtone, but when I dial a number it immediately goes into a busy signal.
HOWEVER MJ of late has taken it upon itself to block some exchanges ( they blocked the whole state of Alaska!!) It seems some rural telco's charge a higher termination fee and that cuts into MJ's profits so they block the whole exchange. There is a topic here on that was well. 3 beeps and busy signal. Right now the only way around it is to use a free Google voice account to call the blocked number and have it call your MJ. Be aware though some people are having the blocking issue with GV too.

Bummer! I'm near Cleveland, Ohio I wonder if Time Warner is doing something or if MJ is doing it, or both.
I sat with MJ tech support for a while via thier chat thingy, we ran through some things but it didn't help.
Geeze, I don't know what to try next. I am thinking of switching to the Net Talk Duo.
Have you heard anything good or bad about them?
Thanks!
