Cannot call lined lines
My Magic Jack cannot call lined phone numbers starting from this morning. The software shows active but there no sound. It works fine for cell phones. Is there any problem at the server side?

Doesn't appear to be. I was doing some test calling and just got done calling about 10 different land lines.kzhao wrote:My Magic Jack cannot call lined phone numbers starting from this morning. Florida here. And there do seem to be about 100 different things that can go wrong with the darn thing.kzhao wrote:Nailgunner, where are you in? I'm in Chicago. Probably they have problem at my area. I just had live chart with Magic Jack support. It seems I do have a problem. The representative said they will look into into, but didn't say what's the problem.
Thanks for trying anyway.

I have a theory that is based on absolutely NOTHING, but so much of these new issues just cropped up in the last few weeks, which is when MagicTalk went on-line, and I'm wondering if there are problems with their system handling both.stevereno wrote:Just seems odd that in my case, the trouble is limited to calling cell phones. And, it's not carrier based either, MJ calls to any AT&T, Verizon and Sprint cell phone number fail. But I can call landline numbers for any carrier just fine. Pretty strange problem.
.we cant call any cell phones since yesterday. Anyone know anything? We also have a theory. The cell companies just might be boycotting the very inexpencive magicjack service. You know someone loosing a lot of money. I personally love paying $20 a year plus internet for a phone, but I'm not AT&T. It's prolly just a glich, but who knows. Here in KC,Mo
I chatted with magicJack tech support this evening. No joy. Spent 30 minutes and got nowhere. They said they'll be escalating the issue to the 'Technical Engineers'.stevereno wrote:Just seems odd that in my case, the trouble is limited to calling cell phones. I just checked, and all three of my magicJacks are now working fine. No problem calling cell numbers anymore. Working like Magic!stevereno wrote:I chatted with magicJack tech support this evening. Sounds like you too need to endure a chat session with the MJ support folks...rcetlin wrote:I too am having some strange issues, namely when people call me and I pick up, the phone will either hang up, or there's no audio. Also, a new one is when I try to call my wife's t-mobile cell phone, she doesn't hear me, but she can call the MJ phone and We can hear each other.
