It's not worth it, The Duo is doomed if you hack it. The programmers at netTalk are not stupid and anyone that post a dumb message like " It will take a yr or more for them to figure it out" You are 100% mistaken. Plus i'll put money on it if you get caught get ready to buy a new Duo under a bogus name. netTalk don't tolerate the BS MJ did or does. That garbage that was posted was ONLY a emulator that worked with hacked SIP info for the FREE service!, The Duo no one posted anything info here period of how to get the SIP info. Again netTalk is NOT netStupid and you can take that to the bank!, I would use the Duo the way its sold. It's a ATA so what more do you want?... To run asterisks etc which they don't allow and if so be prepared to pay the price and i'll bank on that. Then people wonder oh my this damn site was hacked. Nothing stops those that know what there doing if a person understands it well. Again please do as you please im just telling you netTalk Inc is'nt no MagicJerkOff company that will take no BS thats all, Plus there VERY friendly people and GO out of there way with support, Think this over b4 you try anything as this is ONLY a friendly msg and as i said DO as you want BUT you won't get no where for long that it will be worth anything, WANT SIP Creds bad logon to netTalks site and ask them as im sure you'll get a answer

Thats ok, I don't know nothing about the TK6000. Im sure changes have been made to that too but i don't know. The company as of so far bends over backwards for the customers IMO and NO i do NOT work for them either or sell there product but own a Duo. When something is good it's best to keep it that way, Good luck and f you ever want to change give the netTalk Duo a try you can't go wrong

Well I just got my NetTALK duo and have terrible delay with Google voice making it unusable. It is a shame because I really wanted to get rid of my magicJack. I hope this issue gets fixed soon or I will have to send it back.
Another problem is there is no time stamp on the caller ID.
So I question how good the NetTALK engineers really are.

Well, I hear what u say and netTalk is no where near 100%. I assume you put a trouble ticket in and if you did'nt do so im sure they will help or answer any questions you have A.S.A.P and thats including weekends and holidays. Google Voice don't use it but if someone does im sure they will be more then glad to help you out. I don't want NT to smell like roses but i have had issues too but they also fixed them within less then 24 hrs and at most 48. Hey you have 30 days so no problem at all. There system still needs more programming and netTalk does'nt really have a real busy signal and a few other minor quirks but it will be taken care of im sure but b4 you jump ship keep track of your 30 days as thats to your advantage. Engineers are only as good as they are, I had TWO in a row make a mistake with Ooma and they had me return equipment that was'nt even defective even though i told them your wasting my time. Guess they learned a lesson. Your not new to this VoIP hobby but wait to see what they do 4u because you have nothing to lose and 30 days is a long time anyway. I myself had a attitude with them and im NOT saying you do but today all is fine with mine but im not interested in GV as i have enuff numbers like a slot machine.

I "assume" you have looked on the NT forum for answer?? http://www.nettalk.com/forum/laserjobs wrote:Well I just got my NetTALK duo and have terrible delay with Google voice making it unusable. Seems a tad more sense than posting here.. Kinda like me asking a Ford question on the GM web page..
Just sayin`

Re: Nettalk free service softphone
That was not really a guide for getting your password for the DUO. It was showing how you could get the SIP password for NetTalks free service.MST wrote:On last thursday the day before this site crash it was a post with guide how to use SIPPHONE with DUO user and password.

I didn't bother running through all of those steps. It would have taken hours to install emulators, etc.
I ran cain and abel and came up with the password in no time. Of course, the password was only digits, so brute forcing it was easy. Now of course, NT is probably aware, and probably increased the length and complexity of the password, making brute force not feasible.

At least not any bailout that we know about. I'm waiting for Woodward and Bernstein to do the definitive analysis....Right
