NetTalk -- blocked area codes/prefixes (like Magic Jack)?

Post by Whippersnapper »

Is NetTalk blocking any area codes and prefixes like Magic Jack?

Lately I have been getting the dreaded three beeps when calling various numbers I want to call and I can more or less only call and receive phone calls in my local MJ area code, or so it seems.

Would I encounter the same crap with NetTalk?

No, they do not actively block any area codes. According to posts here, adn at their forum, some users have experienced problems with specific area codes due to routing issues, but have seen the issue corrected after submitting trouble tickets .
Enjoys a daily VOIP cocktail made from:

-One shot Magic Jack
-One shot TK6000
-One shot NetTalk Duo
-Two shots Ooma (it's bigger)

Shaken, not stirred.

Google Voice is the chaser.

That won't work.

MJ has turned into a piece of shit provider and they are dishonest. Hell, they cut out my entire home state (907).

Then they offer the stupid chicken shit pro-rata refund ... can't even cover the return postage.

I'm done with MJ ... giving netTalk a try but suspect they will ultimately be the same.
